Jehan Designs was started to provide a public outlet for Sara Jehan's abundant creativity and to share Sara's way of seeing the world.
Sara works as a printmaker in two techniques, Etching and Relief. Both involve painstaking
craftsmanship to make the plate, or master image, and result in the production of a signed and numbered limited edition. Sara's editions are generally numbered 25 or fewer.
Sara's imagery is most often inspired by the natural world around her, especially the garden and forest. Utilizing her excellent drawing and design skills in combination with her love of borders, Sara creates an intimate portrait of her subject.
Whether it's an orange on a branch or a lonely fencepost surrounded by barbed wire, her statement to the world is simply, "Stop, Look, Enjoy!"
Currently Sara's work is on display at the National Orange Show in San Bernadino, California, the Cultural Art Council of Sonoma County Gallery in Santa Rosa, California, the
Sebastopol Center for the Arts, in Sebastopol California, Katydid's in Petaluma California and at the New Arts Canter in Kutztown,
Pennsylvania. Sara will also be participating in Art at the Source, an open studio tour sponsored by the Sebastopol Canter for the Arts on June 5-6 and June 12-13 and the Summer Art Fair in
Mendocino, California on July 17-18.
