Every year for Christmas my mother wishes for World Peace and wants a card that expresses that wish. This year, she wanted that message to reflect her trip to California. Yes, I'm a good child and did what she asked, but this was also the first image I used the block print and watercolor technique on and the design pulled together my graphic skills and my art skills more elegantly than ever before.
In addition, I explored different papers and textures and enjoyed playing as an artist.
